Arabesqua

In 'Arabesqua,’ five women from different cities meet, moving through time, bridging between past and present, and predicting the future. We practice collectivity in times of separation. We dismantle, reassemble, reclaim ownership, and appropriate the Palestinian dabke for ourselves. We rewrite history and present a new narrative: a Semitic, feminine, political, collective, we embody and express colonialism, finding solace and unity in our struggles, supporting, uplifting, and embracing one another. We find ecstasy and tribalism in endless circles through diverse gateways of emotions and sensations—sadness, pain, loss, joy, and celebration.
